We know you sometimes need advice or help with your career plans and applications etc when you’re not on campus, so this summer we’re piloting a new online LiveGuidance service.
The idea of this service is that you will be able to talk to a careers consultant or one of our other careers specialists (e.g. a work experience specialist or international student adviser) from the comfort of your own sofa. All you need is a computer and an internet connection and you can enter a 1-2-1 online discussion via instant messaging! Check out our online availability below and what areas we’ll be covering and then log in to www.manchester.ac.uk/careers/liveguidance for careers guidance.
Monday 22nd June 5-7pm (Staying in Manchester – what next?)
Graduating in 2009? Planning on staying in Manchester after graduation but need to find a job or an internship or thinking about further study? Log in to talk to our careers consultant about your plans anytime between 5 and 7pm.
Wednesday 24th June 2-4pm (Work experience)
Looking for work experience or a part-time job over the summer or next year, but have questions about what’s available or not sure where to start? Log in to talk to our work experience specialist anytime between 2 and 4pm.
Wednesday 1st July 6-8pm (General careers guidance – ask us about anything!)
Whatever questions you have about your career or job hunting, you can log in to talk to our careers consultant anytime between 6 and 8pm.
More dates over the summer coming soon – watch this space, and we’ll be offering some regular slots with a careers consultant each week from September!
So don’t be shy – log in and talk to us at: www.manchester.ac.uk/careers/liveguidance.
NB: The LiveGuidance service is only available to University of Manchester students and graduates.
