Looking to develop your Marketing Career in Manchester?
Manchester Masters is a unique, year-long graduate programme that aims to seek out Manchester’s most talented graduates with the potential to become leaders of tomorrow.
Ten graduates will be selected to undertake four three-month long marketing-related placements within the top creative teams of leading Manchester businesses. As well as gaining fantastic experience, successful candidates will also receive rent free city centre accommodation, a salary of £9,000 tax-free, support from a business mentor and you’ll also study towards an MSc at MMU (free of charge).
This is the second year of the Manchester Masters programme, which is funded by the Innovation Investment Fund (which in turn is funded by NWDA, NESTA and Manchester City Council). The programme was introduced to try to retain Greater Manchester Universities’ top creative students in the city and to stem the “graduate brain drain” from the North West.
This year’s ten Manchester Masters students started in July 2009 and are enjoying varied and exciting placements in businesses including Manchester United Merchandising Ltd, Manchester Confidential, Tangerine PR, MediaCom North, Marketing Manchester, Pets at Home, Barrett Dixon Bell, Deloitte and Million-2-1 Ltd.
Students can apply from any undergraduate degree course but they must be due to graduate in 2010 from one of the Greater Manchester Universities (University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Salford and University of Bolton). Other conditions also apply – please visit http://www.manchestermasters.com.
Online applications for the July 2010 programme are now open
The deadline for applications is 6th January 2010.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in areas such as PR, digital, design, advertising and marketing, to make brilliant contacts, to achieve a postgraduate qualification (free of charge) and to gain an enviable launch pad for your future career.
