Women and banking: take part in a focus group and earn £10

Yes, if you’re a female student and you have thoughts about working in the banking industry, whether positive, negative or ambivalent, we’d like to hear from you.

The Careers Service along with a major bank is running 2 discussion groups to find out about women’s attitudes to graduate careers in banking.

To participate, you need to be available next Tuesday 23 March 2010:

  • Second and pre-final year students 12.30pm – 1.30pm
  • Final year students 2.00pm – 3.00pm

We will ask about your views on your future career and whether you think the banking sector does or does not offer good opportunities for women.

No preparation is involved — just the willingness to come along and talk openly in a group of 10 people.

At the end of the meeting you will be given £10 in return for your help.

Please provide us with:

  • Your name
  • Degree and subject of study
  • Expected year of graduation
  • Nationality
  • Contact telephone
  • And confirm that you available on 23 March at the specified time.

Apply to tammy.goldfeld@manchester.ac.uk asap or by Friday 19 March.

We will try to reply to everyone, but if you have not heard from us by Monday 22 March, then please assume that you have not been selected.
