Getting a Career in…..

November 9, 2011

We sometimes get feedback from students that the careers service is perceived to only promote opportunities with large corporate firms.   Yes – this maybe true – we do organise a lot of activities on campus delivered by these firms (they have big marketing budgets and want to recruit you!!) BUT- it’s also false – we do organise a number of events targeted at students  considering careers outside of finance, banking & general management…. Log into CareersLink to find them.

We’ve also decided to run a series of ‘Getting a career in…’ sessions for those of you who are interested in careers in Teaching, Marketing Advertising &PR, Media & Publishing or Charities & the Public Sector.  These are small, group sessions, designed to be interactive, and give you the chance to ask questions and learn from career experts (and other students!) about entry into and careers within these sectors.  See below for full details.
